How do I participate?
People in our church are putting together shoeboxes to be sent to children across the world for Christmas. Many of these kids live in poverty so these gift boxes are special to them and it will provide an opportunity for the gospel to be shared with them and their families.
Pack a box such as a large tupperware or shoebox according to an age range and gender. Suggestions can be found on Samaritan's Purse website: https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/what-goes-in-my-shoebox-suggestions/
(We can provide a box if you don't have one)
What to pack: craft items, clothing/accessories, personal care items, toys, and a "wow" item such as a stuffed animal or doll. It would also mean a lot to include a handwritten note and pray over each box that God would use it for His glory.
Please do not include used or damaged items, glass or aerosol cans, liquids, seeds, medicine, candy, or violent/war related items.
Once your boxes are packed and prayed over, please give it to your Community Group leader or drop it off at the Connect Table on Sunday! Deadline is November 21st to be shipped across the world!
